Woodworking...

I found this chair on the side of the road a few years ago and the arm was broken off.  I had an arm off of another chair on there until I found these pieces of driftwood.

The end of the driftwood was shaped like a lobster claw.  The claw fit right onto the existing chair without any hardware.  3 screws later the chair was fixed.

I had a dream the other night when I slept on Waddel Creek in Littlerock, WA.  I had a stool that was a tool tote, so when I woke up I had some leftover cedar boards from a deck I built last week and I made this.

It is amazing to be outside and have the freedom to build whatever you dream up.  I really like this tote and have found a great use for it every day this week.

A look inside the box.

Rightside up.  This stool is a little over 13 inches tall.  I have found a great use for this little guy every day this week.

I carved this spatula out of a piece of old growth cedar last week during the Olympia West Side farmers market.  I made a spatula with a similar shape a few years ago and I decided to make another one because I really like the thumb rest/nautilus shape.
